Have you been to the newest nature playground in the South West yet? It’s totally amazing and kept my boys occupied for over 2 hours. Just half an hour from Bunbury, on the Forrest Highway, this amazing play space is a game changer for families … and Mums seeking a hot cup of coffee!
Where is it? It’s at the Crooked Carrot Cafe! Yes, that’s right, it’s not only an amazing, toddler friendly playground … there’s coffee … and food, fabulous food! Oh and of course there’s toilets!! And lots and lots of wide open spaces!
South West Playground for All Ages
They have put so much thought into this beautiful play space. I saw kids of all different ages having fun and enjoying the space. It definitely suits toddlers and there is a fence around the area, making it a safe fenced playground.
There are two exits, however they are well away from the play area. The main front entrance is on the opposite side of the grassed area. The other exit point is next to the playground, however these gates are generally locked unless there is work being carried out or a delivery being made. Honestly, there is so much to do, your kids won’t want to run anywhere!

What’s Featured at the Newest Nature Playground in the South West?
There’s a large sandpit with clean white sand, surrounded by a course of logs which are great to build balance skills. Tyres to climb on, an old boat, a bridge, musical instruments – it’s all there. Plus there’s a teepee for them to play in or climb up and a hut made of branches which makes a fantastic imaginary shop! My boys loved “selling” gumnuts to the other children.
There’s also so much green grass to run around on, shady trees to sit under … there’s even a hopscotch game for the kids to enjoy.
Plus, the logs that were there previously in the gravel area are still there, as are the old tractors.
So jump on the phone and organise a play date with your bestie – the kids will love it … and most importantly, you can relax with a coffee and a slice of delicious cake while the kids play happily … they even have loads of gluten free and raw choices!
